Roy Leonard “Leroy” Agee age 81 of Ridgeway passed away on Oct. 20, 2018, at Haven of Rest Christian Home in Ridgeway. He was born Oct. 9, 1937, in Henry County to the late Roy Kelly and Mary Lankford Agee. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by two brothers, Leo and James Agee, and two sisters, Mary Hopkins, and Beatrice Furr.
Leroy was of the Baptist Faith, a graduate of Martinsville High School, and was a self-taught diesel mechanic who had worked for R.P. Thomas, Virginia Carolina, Roy Stone Transfer, and Universal trucking companies for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Patsy Watson Agee of the home, one son and daughter in law, Jason Leon Agee, Sr. and Stephanie of Fieldale, three grandchildren, Jason Leon Agee, Jr., Emily June Agee, and Hanna Lynn Agee, all of Fieldale, two brothers, Ted Agee, and Larry “Peanut” Agee, both of Axton, and three sisters, Patsy Hodges of Ridgeway, Doris Wilson of Axton, and Margaret Riggs of Martinsville.
Mr. Agee’s funeral will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018, a 12:00 in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Chapel. There will be
no visitation at the home.
