The holiday travel weekend is officially in full swing and a record-breaking number of travelers are expected to be on the roads. According to AAA, more than one-third of Americans will travel this holiday season. 112.5 million people are expected to travel, up more than four percent from last year. With the increased traffic, VSP and local law enforcement agencies will be out in force looking for speeding, distracted driving and weaving in and out of lanes. According to a VSP spokesperson, all available troopers will be on the road.
