Mr. Amos (JD) Hall, 91, of Bassett, Va., passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 after a decline in health. Mr. Hall was born on November 11, 1927 in Woolwine, Va., a son of the late Elmer Marshall Hall and the late Lillie Gay Foley Hall. He was employed by Fieldcrest Mills for over 40 years. He served in the United States Army and he was a member of the Bassett Church of the Brethren.
Mr. Hall is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 71 years, Doris Clark Hall of the residence; three sons, Mike Hall and wife, Judy of Millsboro, Del., Ron Hall of Greenville, N.C., Mark Hall and wife, Vicky of Greensboro, N.C.; three grandchildren with spouses; and four great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service with Entombment will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 at Roselawn Burial Park with the Reverend Maynard Baker and the Reverend Clyde Hylton officiating.
