Charles Wesley Lampkins, 76, of 153 Martin Lane, Axton, Va., passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 at UNC Rockingham Health Care. He was born February 8, 1943 to the late Bettie G. and Charles A. Lampkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step brother, Leslie Lampkins.
Wesley is survived by his wife of the home, Shirley D. Lampkins; three daughters, Patricia Lampkins of Martinsville, VA; Germane L. Williams of Ridgeway, VA; and Tyketia Lampkins of Martinsville, VA; two sons, Charles W. Lampkins, Jr. of Martinsville, VA; and Eric Lampkins of Axton, VA; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and three step sisters, Vivian Dillard of Danville, VA; Merinda Easley and Delabra Hodge both of Martinsville, VA.
He attended Fellowship Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Wesley worked for Dupont and retired as a Logger.
Funeral service will be held Friday, February 15, 2019 at 12 noon at Fellowship Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ with Bishop Phillip Calloway, Eulogist. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service and all other times at the residence, 153 Martin Lane, Axton, VA.
Burial will follow in W&S Lampkins Family Cemetery, Axton, VA.
