The old American of Martinsville site in Martinsville may be getting a new life. The dilapidated remains mostly burned down in a fire five years ago and the area has become an eyesore. Enter… Landmark Property Management Company. They have proposed to City Council the construction of an $8 million dollar senior housing development. Company officials say grant money and tax credits are available for such projects through the Virginia Development Housing Authority. Council gave Landmark their unanimous blessing to pursue the project.
