Antwain Maurice Jones has been charged with the murder of David Bernard Stewart. A grand jury issued indictments against Jones on Monday for two counts of first degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and malicious wounding. Jones was extradited to Danville from Texas and is being held in the Danville City Jail without bond. These charges stem from December 23, 2018, when officers responded to Downing Drive and found a 23 year-old female and David Bernard Stewart suffering from gunshot wounds. Stewart died from his injuries and the female survived.

Kennedy still faces federal charges for crossing state lines following the June 3, 2018 abduction.
50-year-old Donald Augusta Burnette of Danville was sentenced to over 66 years in prison after pleading guilty to 100 counts of possession of child pornography. The defense explained that Burnette viewed images from the internet on a computer but didn’t harm anyone or redistribute the images, but the judge ruled because the acts in the images were illegal, viewing them was also and deserved a lengthy prison sentence.
