First of all, we’re proud to be an affiliate of UVA, Virginia Tech, and UNC. Two of them are number one seeds and all three are going to the NCAA tournament! Let’s take a look…

First up, Virginia Tech. Although they may be the least rated of our three, they are also considered to be one of the outside teams that could slip into a final four. Drawing some winnable games, they have an 87 percent chance of beating Saint Louis in the opening round and a 63 percent chance of getting past the Mississippi State – Liberty winner before facing off against Duke. Although Tech’s chances of eliminating Duke are only 25 percent, if they did do the unthinkable, they’ll have a 54 percent chance of winning their next game. Virginia Tech vs St. Louis (3/22 – 9:57pm)

UNC has the best odds of making it to the final four, after-all, they are a number one seed, but a 35 percent probability shows just how competitive the Midwest bracket is. UNC’s chances of playing in the national championship game are just 18 percent, lower than the other three number-one teams in the field. North Carolina vs Iona (3/22 – 9:20pm)

Finally, UVA. Forget about last year, forget about this year’s ACC tournament. Virginia’s excellent season has earned them a respectable 49 percent probability of getting to the final-four and a 31 percent chance of playing for the national title for the first-time in the school’s history. UVA vs Gardner-Webb (3/22 – 3:10pm)
