According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Mitchell O’Shea Wilson of 166 Patrick Henry Avenue in Axton was wanted for robbery, abduction, and five other felony warrants from Stafford County. Deputies attempted stop Wilson’s vehicle headed northbound on the William F. Stone Highway, Route 58/220 bypass. Wilson tried to get away, and deputies pursued him for 14 miles in a chase that came to an end at the intersection of A.L. Philpott Highway and Old Liberty Drive.
In addition to the Stafford County charges, Wilson was also charged with eluding law enforcement, being a habitual offender, and possession of a firearm by a violent convicted felon. Wilson was found in possession of two handguns when he was taken into custody. Wilson is now in the Henry County Jail without bond.
