Henry County has 105 male law enforcement officers, 17 female. Including civilians, there are 134 employees in the Henry County Sheriff’s Department. In 2018 there were 1,662 arrests in a population of 51,438. There were 20 DUI’s, 4 murders, 12 kidnappings, 8 forcible rapes, 9 forcible sodomies, and 4 cases of incest. Henry County booked 10 arsons, 263 burglaries, 229 vandalism cases, and 288 drug-related charges.

The Martinsville Police Department serves a population of 13,119, has 43 male law enforcement officers, 2 female. Including civilians, there are 50 employees in the Martinsville Police Department. In 2018 there were 1,277 arrests. There were 35 DUI’s, 2 murders, 3 kidnappings and 2 forcible rapes. Martinsville booked 72 burglaries, 119 vandalism cases, and 352 drug-related charges.
