The biology department of the Patrick Henry Community College has a anatomage table. It’s called the closest thing to a real cadaver. Students can practice dissections, complete practicals and labs, and be quizzed. With 500 nursing jobs available in PHCC’s service area and 6,500 within a 45-minute drive, the Harvest Foundation determined a grant for the cost of the table was worth it. Three more are expected to be at PHCC by next year.
