Storms Thursday evening have caused 2,854 Appalachian Power customers to be without power this morning. 20 of them are in Henry County, 6 in Patrick County, and fewer than 5 in Franklin County.
Those without power in Henry County are along the Soapstone Road between the Magna Vista School Road and Pace Airport. There is also an outage along the Morgan Ford Road west of Sandy Level. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued for the area yesterday evening as the storms passed through.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening and again on Saturday. The main hazard will be locally heavy rainfall which may result in localized flooding. A few storms could be strong to severe, producing damaging wind or hail.
