High school football playoffs begin on Friday with Magna Vista earning the No. 1 seed and Bassett the No. 6 seed in Region 3D.
The Warriors will host No. 8 Abingdon, and the Bengals will travel to Vinton to face No. 3 William Byrd. Gametime for both is 7 p.m. If Magna Vista wins, they will play the winner of No. 4 Carroll County and No. 5 Northside next week. A win by Bassett will earn them a game against the winner between No. 2 Lord Botetourt and No. 7 Cave Spring.
