The Zookeepers beat the Mustangs 13-7 Sunday night. Martinsville had 12 hits and committed three error on the evening, while the Zookeepers accumulated 14 hits with two errors.
This is the last week of the season. The Mustangs play at home tonight against Asheboro, they are on the road at Macon on Tuesday, and at Lexington on Wednesday. They are off on Thursday and will play the final home game of the season at Hooker Field on Friday against the HiToms, before wrapping it up on Saturday at Tri-City.
With five games left, Peninsula leads the East Division by two games over Wilson, and in the West Division, Forest City is in first, three games ahead of Lexington.
