North Carolina woman arrested on drug charges

From the Henry County Sheriff’s Office:

Henry County, VA – On the morning of May 31, 2025, a Henry County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop at 4090 Virginia Avenue after observing a vehicle displaying fictitious tags.

The vehicle was occupied by four individuals. During the initial investigation, the deputy noticed inconsistencies in the driver’s and passengers’ statements. Based on these observations, he requested assistance from the Martinsville Police Department to utilize their K-9.

The K-9 alerted to the odor of narcotics. Deputies then conducted a search of the vehicle. During the search, a  Taurus 9mm handgun, along with multiple pre-packaged bags of suspected methamphetamine, five varieties of pressed pills, various colored powder substances, and various other items consistent with the distribution of narcotics were located. 

During the investigation of this incident, it was determined these items belonged to one of the passengers named, Terri Lynn Warren, 26 years of age, Caswell, North Carolina. She was charged with the following charges:

  • Possession with the intent to distribute a Scheduled I/II Substance in violation of  Virginia Code Section§ 18.2-248
  • Possession of a Firearm while in possession of a Schedule I/II Substance in violation of Virginia Code Section 18.2-308.4
  • Possession of a Concealed Weapon in violation of  Virginia Code Section § 18.2-308

Terri Warren is currently held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center under no bond.
