Alfonso Ramirez Chavez, 50, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1975, to Marcos Ramirez Martinez and the late Florentin Martinez.

Alfonso was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Francisco Ramirez and Isabel Martinez.

He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever, including his devoted wife, Maria Castro Santos; his children, Daphne Ramirez-Castro, Jassira Ramirez-Castro, Juan Ramirez-Castro, and Yasser Ramirez-Castro; his sisters, Crescencia Ramirez-Chavez, Rubicelia Ramirez-Chavez, and Leticia Ramirez-Chavez; and his brothers, Jesus Ramirez-Chavez, Marcos Ramirez-Chavez, Jose Manuel Ramirez Ventura, Sergio Ramirez Ventura, and Yobani Ramirez Ventura.

Alfonso was a faithful member of the Martinsville Seventh-day Adventist Spanish Church, where he found strength, community, and spiritual fulfillment.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Martinsville Seventh-day Adventist Spanish Church, located at 825 Starling Avenue, Martinsville, Virginia 24112, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

He will be remembered for his love of family, his kindness, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
