Alvin Lee Jones, Jr., 53, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026. He was born on October 29, 1972, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, to Margie Gravely Jones and the late Alvin Lee Jones, Sr.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Khalia Brown.

Alvin was the owner and operator of his own automotive garage for more than ten years. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication to his customers, and the pride he took in every aspect of his work. Alvin enjoyed working on cars and was respected by many for his knowledge, dependability, and willingness to help others whenever he could.

Alvin was a man whose presence could light up any room. He was known for his infectious sense of humor, his loving and caring spirit, his protective nature, and his outgoing personality. To know Alvin was to love him. His warm smile, welcoming spirit, and genuine love for people made him unforgettable to everyone blessed enough to cross his path. There was not one person who met Alvin who was not touched by his kindness and the joy he carried so naturally.

In addition to his mother, Alvin is survived by his wife, Corrine Stephens Jones; his children, Dishay Brown, Ahmaria Jones, and Alvin Jones, Jr.; his sisters, Cleduys “Ce Ce” Day, LaTasha Day, Sherika DeShazo, and Shareka Walton; his brother, Ricky Day; and a host of other loving family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
