Audrey Beal, 79, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 19, 2026. She was born on June 24, 1946, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Early Valentine and Virginia Beal Valentine.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tess Ann Ramey; sister, Bonnie Portia Jordan; and brothers, Calvin Valentine, Earl Valentine, Lawrence Valentine, and Marvin Valentine.

Audrey was deeply loved by her family and friends, who will always remember her love for music and dancing, as well as her enjoyment of attending church.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Scales; son, Freddie Beal; sisters, Betty Mosley, Barbara Abrams, Janice Hairston, Priscilla Moore, Deborah Marshall, and Sharon Valentine; brothers, Timothy Valentine and Leon Valentine; four grandchildren, Veronica Ramey, Darryl Ramey, India Taylor, and Breaudrea Scales; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel, with Pastor Benjamin Redd officiating. Interment will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
