Obituaries

Beulah “Bitty” Marie Michael Luketic, 83, of Blairs, Virginia, entered her eternal rest Saturday, December 13, 2025. She was born February 2, 1942, in Fairmont, West Virginia, to the late Harland Michael and Mae Marie Bell Michael.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Ted C. Luketic; sister, Cleo Yoak; sister-in-law, Mae Michael; and brothers-in-law, Eugene Lough and James Yoak.

Beulah was of the Christian faith and a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Danville, Virginia, where she was blessed by the ministry of Pastor Daniel Custer. Here she found a loving church community in which to serve and was even endearingly called “the candy lady.” She graduated from Rivesville High School, class of 1960. She exhibited a strong work ethic and worked hard her entire life to provide for her family.

She was a woman with varied interests including a love for music, playing guitar, and singing in church. In her earlier years, Beulah enjoyed spending time hunting with her husband. Her legacy of faith and love will forever be in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Left to honor and cherish her memory are her sons, Tim Luketic and Tony Luketic; stepdaughters, Tina Luketic (Angie Boyte), Terri Luketic Totherow; bonus daughter, Debbie Anderson (Jerry); sister, Lou Lough; brothers, Dave Michael (Diana), George Michael; grandchildren, Corey Totherow, Daymon Totherow, Rachel Marie Luketic; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; longtime friend, Betty Roy, along with other friends that are too numerous to name.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to her loving caretakers, Edna Combs, Joan Graham, Wendy Joyner, and Holly Rice, along with the Commonwealth Hospice Team.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Riverview Baptist Church.
