Obituaries

Carole Elizabeth Wall, 83, of Martinsville, Virginia, entered her eternal rest Thursday, December 4, 2025. She was born in Henry County, Virginia, on June 15, 1942, to the late Nathaniel Henry Washburn and Lucy Martin Washburn.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Jimmy Lee Wall, and her sister, Madeline Washburn.

Carole was of the Christian faith and a member of Rich Acres Christian Church where she found a loving faith community. She was active in both her church and the community in which she lived. Her creativity shone in her handiwork; whether sewing, knitting, or cross stitching, every stitch was made with love. Carole was known for the deep love she had for her children and her sons were blessed by the love of a wonderful mother.

She will forever be remembered by her sons, Andrew Wall and Patrick Wall (Robin); grandchildren, Nathan Wall and Claire Wall; and extended family and friends.

There will be a graveside service Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Tim Hunt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the cemetery, located at 103 Clearview Drive, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Pregnancy Care Center of MHC, 314 Fairy Street Extension, Lot E, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
