Obituaries

Carolyn Livengood Foley, 81, of Ridgeway, Virginia passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was born August 1, 1941, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Charles Wesley Livengood and Irene Mozelle Compton Livengood.

Carolyn was of the Baptist faith and attended Fontaine Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Drewry Mason High School. She was employed by DuPont and later retired from the Henry County School System after more than thirty years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Ann Foley Harrison; sisters, Mary Frances Livengood Arnold, Norma Jean Hodge; brother, Michael Thomas Livengood.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Foley; son, Doug Foley (Teresa); brother, C.W. Livengood, Jr. (Dana); grandchildren, Ciji Lankford (Terry), Taylor Harrison (Brent), Brooke Alverson (Jay), Jakob Foley; great grandchildren, Colton Alverson, Sadie Alverson, Zachary Lankford and Mackenzie Lankford.

The funeral will be Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Fontaine Baptist Church with Pastor Merle Brown and Pastor Barry Crumpton officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
