Obituaries

Clifford David Harmon, 67, of Holden Beach, NC., passed Monday, December 29, 2025. He was born in West Virginia, March 22, 1958, and was the son of James Luther, Sr., and Adaline Curry Harmon. He was a graduate of Martinsville High School where he enjoyed playing sports and earned an associate’s degree in business administration at Patrick Henry Community College. David worked for the Bassett Furniture and Stanley Furniture Industries before becoming disabled. David was an avid Dukes Basketball fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two brothers, James Luther Harmon, Jr., and Lloyd Latham, one half-brother, Carl E. Ratcliff, four sisters: Mildred "Thelma" Marlow, Gracie Evelyn Ratcliff, Phyllis Jean Harmon, and Frankie C. “Carolyn” Likens.

David leaves to cherish his memory one son, and daughter-in-law, Jason and Crystal Harmon, one daughter Janeise Harmon, two half-brothers, Kelly G. Ratcliff, and his wife Ruth, and Timothy "Timmy" Ratcliff, two half-sisters, Elaine "Marie" Whitlow, and Deborah “Debbie” Forgette, and two special grandchildren, Wren and Nolan Harmon, several nieces and nephews and his special companion, Peggy Taylor Harmon.

Funeral services at the families request will be private.
