Cynthia Hagwood Ross, 58, of Ridgeway, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2026. She was born on August 31, 1967, to the late Joe Lewis Stanley and Shirley Hagwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marilyn Stanley and Sharon Stanley Pruitt; her brothers, Tim Manns and Dwayne Stanley; and mother-in-law, Margie Williamson Ross.

Cynthia was a graduate of Bassett High School, Class of 1985. She was a faithful member of Monument of Faith and worked for many years at Faneuil as a Customer Service Representative. Cynthia enjoyed traveling, watching HGTV and Love & Marriage: Huntsville, and most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Simeon Ross; daughter, Shelley Ross; son, Lakeven Ross; siblings, Angela Hairston (Timothy), Sammy Hagwood, (Veronica), Collisa Stanley, Maria Joyce (William), Brenda Keith (James), Sharon Robinson (Alvin), Loleader Valentine, Ricky Stanley, TaWarn Stanley, Samuel Ross (Robin), Tom Hagwood, and Michael Gibens (Carolyn); three grandchildren, Kameron Ross, Kaylee Ross, and Nia Ross; father-in-law, Clyde Ross; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

A floating visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service, Martinsville Chapel.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Monument of Faith in Eden, North Carolina with Pastor Lannie Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
