Obituaries

Danny Eugene Doolin, 75, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned to his heavenly home Monday, January 26, 2026. He was born November 26, 1950, in Danville, Virginia to the late Ralph Eugene Doolin and Angela Moore Doolin.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Doolin.

Danny proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. during the Vietnam Era. He was of the Christian faith and worked in construction for more than 30 years. He enjoyed working with his hands,building, crafting, and painting. In his eariler years, he lived life to the fullest and enjoyed going camping with his son and attending the Daytona 500 Race with his daughter. Danny loved to talk, spend quality time with all of his loved ones, and tell stories from his childhood. He leaves behind family and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kimberly Strong (Randy); son, Danny Eugene Doolin, II; sister, Faye Edwards; grandchildren, Arianne Wright (Cody), Christopher Lehman, Kaylyn Doolin, Ashlyn Doolin, Bryson Doolin; great grandchildren, Drake Dixon, Lilly Anne Dixon; and a host of extended family and friends.

Although all services will be private, the family wishes to express their profound gratitude for all of the love, prayers and many good deeds sent their way during this time of grief.
