Obituary For DeMarquis Gilbert
DeMarquis Gilbert, 34, of Bassett, Virginia passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026. He was born on October 1, 1991, in Martinsville, Virginia to Trevor Chelton and Cindra Fuller.
DeMarquis graduated from Martinsville High School and attended Refuge Temple Ministries. He loved to travel and enjoyed watching football, especially supporting the Indianapolis Colts. Most of all, he loved his family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kemonie Bruce; brothers, Anthony Gilbert (Antoinette), Ralph Price, Devin Stockton, Ron Fuller (Kristen), Trejon Fuller, and Markene Williams; his stepfather, Ralph Fuller, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Refuge Temple Ministries with Bishop Alan Preston officiating. Interment will follow at Trotter Family Cemetery, . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
