Elisabeth Jeanne Hairston, 20, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026. She was born September 3, 2005, in Richmond, Virginia to Clemons Lee Hairston, Jr. and Lisa Jeanne Pacheco.

Elisabeth wanted to build a life with her “Honey Bun” on a farm with lots of animals including chickens and goats. She loved to experience new things and traveling. Elisabeth loved going out to eat, especially if a steak was involved. She loved Scooby-Doo, spent her weekends hiking, and had a special connection with animals. Her bond with her dad was truly unique; he always called her his little scuttle bug, and their relationship was filled with warmth and affection.

She is survived by her parents, Clemons Lee Hairston and Lisa Jeanne Pacheco; sisters, Samone Pacheco, Brittany Hairston, Tammara Giles; brother, Clemons Lee Hairston, III; maternal grandparent, Cynthia Bell; Special aunts, Amy Bell, Laura Bell; uncle, Stephen Hairston, Jason Bell;; nephews, Zion Golden “Monkey Baby”, Kaiyden Hairston, Lewis Giles, Jr., Sinsear Alexander and other nieces and nephews; special cousins, Daisy Duvall (Nickolas), Yasmyne Bell, Makayla Hairston; best friend, Khionna Howard; her future husband and honey bun, Hector Maldonado, Jr.; special family, Hector Maldonado, Jessica Maldonado, Madison Maldonado, Matthew Maldonado.

Although all services will be private, the family wishes to extend their gratitude for the outpouring of love and kindness that has been shown during their time of grief.
