Obituaries

Elizabeth Ann Jarrell Moxley, 70, of Eden, North Carolina passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026. She was born on November 11, 1955, in Eden, N.C. to Gilbert Lee Jarrell and Frances Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leon Moxley and her brother, Thomas Lee Jarrell.

She is survived by her sons, Cory Moxley (Amanda) and Brandon Moxley; grandchildren, Jonathan Moxley (Xandria), Jayden Moxley, and Jordan Moxley, Aiden Thompson, Ava Harding and Jason Harding; great grandson, Luke Moxley; sister-in-law, May Jarrell and her good friend, Kay Wilson.

Elizabeth loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandson. She enjoyed caring for others and working at Mount Calvary Daycare. She loved going on cruises, singing, working in her flower garden, and making flower arrangements.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 1:50 pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at McKee-Stone Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm and will be officiated by Pastor Gary Shupe.

The burial will take place at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Roselawn Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mount Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church building fund, 350 A.L. Philpott Hwy. Axton, VA 24054.
