Erica Lynette Palmer Walker, 46, of Moneta, Virginia passed away peacefully Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospice Home, Roanoke, Virgina, due to complications from cancer. She was born July 27, 1979, in Martinsville, Virginia, to Stanley Roderic Palmer and Donna Gail Mayhew.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Ruth Mayhew; paternal grandparents, Roderic and Ada Palmer; and one uncle, Jimmy “J.T.” Mayhew.

Erica was of the Christian faith and loved the Lord. Her family always came first in her life; she loved her children and grandchildren with everything she had. Being outdoors brought her peace, and fishing was her favorite way to unwind. She adored her dog, Zoe and her “nephew dog” MoJo; they were her heart. Erica worked for many years at Clarence’s Steakhouse in Ridgeway, Virginia where she gained lifelong friendships. She was a lady who found joy in the simple moments of life.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband; Bruce Allen Walker; soulmate; Donnie O’Dell; daughter, Courtney Chapman (Alex); son, Hunter Walker (Courtney); sister, Stephanie Palmer Roberts (Jonathan “Johnny”); brother, Erik Stanley Palmer; grandchildren, Hazley Walker, and Aliza Chapman; aunts, Janet Palmer Fentress, Dr. Karen Palmer Thomas; nephews, Jaylin Palmer, Jensen Palmer; and stepmother, Sandra Palmer.
