Frances Ann Blankenship, 93, of Martinsville, Va. passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026. She was born in Martinsville on January 10, 1933, to James Curtis Blankenship and Marie Elsie Hubbard Blankenship.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Blankenship Norton and her brother, James “Jimmy” Hamon Blankenship.

She is survived by her brother, Ernest Lewis Blankenship; her nephew, Lewis Guy “Ricky” Norton III; and her nieces, Katherine Norton Slate, Janice “Jan” Norton, Vicki Lynn Blankenship and Melissa Gay Blankenship.

Frances was a long-time member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church where she used to teach Sunday school in her younger years. She loved her church and church family. She also loved her cats, feeding the birds and working in her flowers. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at McKee-Stone Funeral Home on Friday, January 30, 2026. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 am at Roselawn Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McCabe Memorial Baptist Church, 107 Clearview Drive, Martinsville, Va. 24112.
