Frances D. Seay, 89, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Mulberry Creek Nursing & Rehab. She was born on April 23, 1936, in Ridgeway, Virginia to the late Joseph Hooker and Ida Dee Brown Hooker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her, two sons, Ricky E. Seay, Sr., and Jerry L. Seay; her brother, Joseph Wayne Hooker, and her sister, Shirley Jo Minter and Nancy L. Curry.

Frances worked in the furniture industry for many years and was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished her family deeply.

She is survived by her son: Joseph L. Seay (Donna); her six grandchildren, Cathy Ruth Barrett (Larry), Michael Glen Seay (Rivkah), Ricky E. Seay, Jr., Cara Seay Edwards (Dave), Sean Seay (Ariel), and Brian Seay, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her one sister, Brenda A. Joyce, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
