Genna Trish Patton, 39, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned to her heavenly home Sunday, November 30, 2025. She was born November 19, 1986, in Martinsville, Virginia to Tony “Radar” Ray Patton and Tereasa Taylor Patton.

She was preceded in death by her uncle, Robert Taylor; her paternal grandfather, Howard “Rawhide” Patton; her paternal grandmother, Wilma Duncan.

Genna was a 2005 high school graduate from Magna Vista and had a two-year associate degree as a Registered Medical Assistant. She was a great fan of Patriots Football, especially Tom Brady, her favorite. Genna loved any excuse to go out to eat, especially if it involved pizza or anything with cheese. She dearly loved all her nieces, nephews, animals of all kinds and all her family and friends. She treasured her time with all and enjoyed life to the fullest when with them.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Tori Martin (Bobby); brother, Lance Patton (Shannon); aunts, Tammy Taylor, Tammy Lane, Pam Alfred (Earl); uncle, “Little Cotton” Trent (Tammy); nieces, Madison Martin, Kayleigh Patton, Cadence Patton; nephew, Trenton Agee; maternal grandparents, “Big Cotton” and Gennie Trent; step- grandfather, Mike Duncan; dog, Princess; numerous cousins and extended family and friends.

The funeral will be held Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Curt Ashley officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The family will receive extended family and friends at the home of Tony and Tereasa.
