Gerald “Jerry” Redd Roach, 90, of Axton, Va. passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at his home in Axton, Va. He was born in Henry County on June 13, 1935, to Redd Roach and Daisy Haley Roach.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Cross Roach, grandson Nathan Roach and his sister Marth Lopez.

He is survived by his son G. Lee Roach (Carrie Eanes), daughters, Belinda Roach Scarce (Barry Brown) and Melody Epstein (Eric); grandsons, Kevin Roach (Tori), Bryan Epstein (Christi) and Will Epstein (Letizia Galli); great grandkids, Taylor Roach, Stella Roach, Jack Roach and James Epstein; brother Lewis Roach; sisters, Mary Lee Neslund and Emma “Jackie” Roach; also several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jerry loved his family and friends. Jerry had a very friendly personality and never met a stranger. Nothing pleased him more than having large get-togethers with family and friends to enjoy a great meal and share stories about good times in the past.

He was a very patriotic person and was very proud of his service with the Virginia Army National Guard.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at McKee-Stone Funeral Home. An Interment will be held the following week at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Roselawn Burial Park.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff and nurses with Amedisys Hospice for their loving care and support of Jerry during the past couple of years.
