IIma Jean Edwards Moore Hopkins, age 91, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

Mrs. Hopkins was born on September 29, 1934 in Pulaski County, VA To Bill Edwards and Sue Bandy Stanley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her husband, James Thomas Hopkins, son, Michael Moore, sister, Maggie Haney, brothers; Jimmy Edwards, Billy Edwards and Wayne Edwards, son-in-laws, Dennis Bowman and Bobby Collins. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed quilting, canning and auto racing.

Mrs. Hopkins is survived by three daughters; Brenda Collins, Teresa Bowman and Retha Moore, two sisters; Carol Goad and Sandra McBride, 4 grandchildren; Michael “Mikey” Moore, Jr., Jenna Bateman (D.J.), Jamie Collins and April Warner (Jason), 8 great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, VA with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dr. J.D. Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
