Obituaries

James Norman Aseph, 56, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. He was born on December 11, 1969, in Stoughton, Massachusetts to John Butch Green and the late Charlene Breland Green.

James proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Gulf War. He was a graduate of Bridgewater Regional High School and had a lifelong love for football, both watching and playing the game.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his daughters, Ashley Weiner and Nycole Weiner; his son, James Weiner; his sisters, Fonya St. Onge and Marlene Carnabuci; several grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Although services are private, the family wishes to express their profound gratitude for all of the love, prayers, and many good deeds sent their way during this time of grief.
