Obituary For Janet Elaine Paugh Beaver

Janet Elaine Paugh Beaver, 68, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Monday, April 13, 2026. Janet was born October 19, 1957 in Oakland, Maryland to the late Bernice Arrington Paugh and Daniel Webster Paugh.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Douglas Bruce Beaver; son, William David Beaver; sister, Bernice Gertude Hunnicutt; brothers, Harold “Ed” Paugh; William “Bill” Daniel Paugh.

Janet was a member of Horsepasture Christian Church. She was employed by Landmark in Stuart, Virginia, where she worked as a dietary aid for many years. Janet loved gardening and had a creative spirit; she enjoyed crafts, painting, and baking sweets for those she loved. The fall season was her favorite time of the year.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Malicote (Gary); son, Joseph Beaver; love of her life, her grandbaby, Jaxon James Bowman and Melody Faith Wilson and their siblings; special great niece, Tiana Hunnicutt; special great-great nieces, Nylla Hunnicutt-DeHart and Kayla Paugh; one special niece that was like a sister, Robin Martin; true friends, Sharon Beam and Tim Mitchelle; many special friends of the Horsepasture Volunteer Fire Department and Horsepasture Volunteer Rescue Squad and their families.

A funeral will be held Friday, April 24, 2026 at 5:00 PM at Horsepasture Christian Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Horsepasture Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 415 Green Acres Circle, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
