Janice Darlene Thompson Lott, 68, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away on November 27, 2025. She was born on Wednesday, October 9, 1957 in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Ted Arylis Thompson and Lillian Shelton Thompson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Donnie Wayne Lott and her sister Amy Thompson Ferguson.

Janice earned a Certificate in Radiology from Roanoke Memorial Hospital in 1978 and worked as a radiologic technologist for over four decades at the former Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County. She was known for her compassion, generosity, and kindness towards others. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. The hole left by her absence will be impossible to fill.

Janice is survived by her sons, Joshua Lott (Kala) and Jacob Lott (Kaye Marie); her brother, Tony Thompson (Vickie); brother-in-law Randy Ferguson (Amy); granddaughter Evie; and nieces Kaleena, Olivia, Haley, and Breanna.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 2pm at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to a charity close to your heart in Janice’s memory.
