Jeffrey Dean Scearce, Sr. of Martinsville Virginia, passed away Friday, January 30,2026. He was born August 18, 1962, in Henry County to the late Bernard Shields Scearce and Edna Carol Grant Scearce.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Dean Scearce Jr.; brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Scearce.

Jeffrey was of the Christian faith and a graduate of Laurel Park High School. He owned and operated his own appliance repair business for more than thirty years and took pride in his work as an appliance technician. He loved fishing, racing and working on race cars with his friend Steve. Spending time in the mountains ; especially in Gatlinburg was his favorite getaway and the place he truly enjoyed.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Scearce; son, Trinity Scearce (Hannah); brother, Bobby Scearce (Carolyn); two grandchildren; uncle, Earl Scearce (Greta); nieces, Whitney Myers (Jason), and Angela Scearce; stepson, Robert “Robby” Mueller.

Although all services will be private, the family wishes to express their profound gratitude for all of the love, prayers and many good deeds sent their way during this time of grief.
