Obituaries

Jennifer Nicole Feeny, 45, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away in Roanoke, Virginia, Friday, December 26, 2025. She was born in Martinsville, Virginia, on October 22, 1980, to Johnnie “John” Wayne Feeny and Brenda Gail Slaydon Feeny.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James Author Feeny and Zerola Henderson Feeny; and maternal grandparents, Richard Clinton Slaydon and Irma Wells Slaydon.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, John Liam Feeny; parents, John and Brenda Slaydon Feeny; sister, Susan Marie Feeny; aunt, Dorothy Marie Boger; uncle, Eddie G. Feeny; many cousins including Deborah Moore (Randolph) and Rhonda Arrington (Bruce); and numerous friends.

Jenny attended classes at Patrick & Henry Community College and found fulfillment in self-employment as a long arm quilter. She was a talented quilter who loved her art. She found great joy in painting and then giving her canvases to family and friends. The freedom of pour painting matched her creativity perfectly. She was a person of diverse interests and was a superb cook whose specialties were collard greens and home cooking.

She was kindhearted and loved by so many. When anyone was introduced to her, she always gave them a warm compliment. Her love for her son, Liam, ran deep and she was extremely proud of him. Her legacy of love and kindness will forever be imprinted on the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know and love her.

Although services will be held at a later date, the family wishes to extend their gratitude for the love and support that has been shown during their time of grief.
