Larry Lamont Ellis, of Fieldale, Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on June 9, 1963, Larry was a beloved father, brother, and friend whose kindness, strength, and warm spirit touched the lives of many.

Larry was preceded in death by his loving parents, Garland W. Ellis and Nellie G. Dillard Ellis; his son, Jairus Barner; his sister, Ruth Ellis; and his brothers, Fretas Ellis and Richard L. Ellis.

He leaves behind cherished memories with his loving family, including his daughter, Natasha Chavers (Kendrell). Larry also shared a special bond with his three step-grandchildren, Bryan Mosley, Brayden Tunstall, and Jaythan Thompson, who brought him great joy.

He is also survived by his brothers, James Ellis, Gregory Ellis, and Robert Ellis; and his sisters, Betty Jean Carr, Nadine Ellis, Sharon Ellis, and Sherry Ellis Harmon. Larry’s life was further enriched by his special friend, Kimberly Wright, along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

Larry will be remembered for his caring heart, his dedication to family, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His presence brought comfort and laughter, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A floating visitation will be held at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel on March 12, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM. The family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Larry’s life and share memories of the love and joy he brought into the world.
