Obituaries

Mark Anthony Hughes, 56, formerly of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026. He was born in High Point, North Carolina, on July 20, 1969, to Joanne Richardson McMannaway and the late James Hughes.

Mark attended school in Henry County and was employed as a security officer for three decades. In his leisure time he enjoyed watching NASCAR races and Dallas Cowboys football games and enjoyed going out to eat. His favorite pastime, however, washing his Camaro and his red Mustang.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pam Hughes; daughter, Ashley Hughes; son, Christopher Blake Hughes; sister, Amanda McMannaway; and brother, Albert McMannaway; and mother, Joanne Richardson McMannaway.

Although services are private, the family wishes to express their profound gratitude for all of the love, prayers, and many good deeds sent their way during this time of grief.
