Rebecca Ann “Cookie” Martin, 70, of Axton, Virginia, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026. She was born on October 1, 1955, to the late Bill Martin and Joy Phipps Martin.

After graduation, Rebecca proudly served her country in the United States Air Force. She was an owner and employee of Berta’s Place in Martinsville, Virginia, and later worked at Garfield’s Chicken & Basket in Fieldale, Virginia, until her retirement.

Rebecca is survived by her son, William “Shayne” Woods; brothers, Hank Martin, Jr. and Chuck Martin; sister, Pamela J. Martin (Leroy); numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the expressions of love and concern shown during this time of grief.
