Thelma Geneva Gravely, 86, of Martinsville, Virginia, entered her eternal rest Tuesday, March 10, 2026. She was born on May 13, 1939, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Howard Horton and Naomi White Horton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Eugene Gray Gravely.

Thelma was of the Christian faith and belonged to the Church of God where she deeply loved her church family. She was a graduate of Carroll County High School. For many years, she was a homemaker, a role in which she found great joy and fulfillment. Thelma was later employed by Bassett Walker.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory are her daughters, Carolyn Young and Denise Woodward (Ken); and son, Richard Gravely (Debbie); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and extended family.

Although services will be private, the family wishes to extend their gratitude for the love and support shown during their time of grief.
