Obituaries

Thelma Ruth Green Rotenberry, 89, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026. She was born on February 21, 1937, in McDowell, West Virginia, to the late Harrison Green and Tempa Burks Green.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Billy J. Rotenberry; and grandson, Adam Rotenberry.

Thelma was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Fieldale, Virginia. She was employed as an insurance agent with Lockman Insurance and led Credit Women’s International for many years. She was a longtime member of the VFW. Thelma loved to sing, enjoyed working on the computer, and cherished time with her family and her dog.

Left to cherish and honor her memory are her sons, David Lee Rotenberry (Nancy), Daniel Carl Rotenberry (Rachel), Garnett Dale Rotenberry; sisters, Faye Parks, Gail Hite (Jimmy); brother, Carl Green (Libby); grandchildren, Andrew Rotenberry, Justin Rotenberry (Casey), Abbi Rotenberry (Matt), Nicolas Rotenberry, Jeremy Rotenberry, April Sepanski (Adam); great grandchildren, Grace Rotenberry, Crystal Rotenberry, Adalynn Rotenberry, Delilah Agee, Adison Sepanski, and Brady Sepanski.

The funeral will be held Monday, April 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel with David Naff officiating. Interment will follow at Henry Memorial Park. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
