Obituaries

Todd Ray Epperson, 52, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. He was born on October 14, 1973, in North Carolina and was raised in Ararat, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin H. Epperson and Ruby Epperson Colvin; maternal grandparents, James Monroe Payne and Claudia Marie Sutphin Payne; and paternal grandparents, Rufus Epperson and Bessie Mae King Epperson.

Todd spent much of his life on the open road as a professional over-the-road truck driver. He found joy and freedom in traveling across the country, taking pride in his work and embracing the opportunity to see different states and scenic routes along the way. The road was more than a job to Todd—it was a way of life.

In his younger years, Todd was active and adventurous. He was a member of the Boy Scouts and played football-experiences that helped shape his strong work ethic, resilience, and appreciation for teamwork and perseverance.

Todd will be remembered for his love of travel, his dedication to his profession, and the many miles and memories he made throughout his life. Todd had an extreme love for his dachshund, "BRUISER.” He leaves behind family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

He is survived by his sisters, Melodie Davis, Kimberly Willard (Tim), Pamela Martin (Marco); nieces and nephews, Malory Eanes, Timothy Willard, Jr., David Willard, Candice Willard, and Brianna Stone; and multiple great-nieces and great-nephews.
