Obituaries

Wayne Douglas Branscom, Jr., 58, of Fieldale, Virginia, entered his eternal rest Friday, May 22, 2026. He was born in Martinsville, Virginia, May 28, 1967, to Wayne Douglas Branscom, Sr. and the late Patsy Via Branscom.

He was of the Christian faith and attended First Church of God in Martinsville. He was a graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School, class of 1985 and spent many years as a skilled carpenter.

In addition to his father, Wayne is survived by his daughter, Allison Wilkins (Jake); sister, Angela Wheeler (Ted); brothers, Jeff Branscom (Keavie) and Tim Branscom (Missy); grandchildren, Aubree Wilkins, Wesley Wilkins, Alaina Branscom; niece, Faith Branscom; nephew, Jayden Branscom; cousins; and extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Charles Niederstadt officiating.
