Obituaries

Wayne M. Berry, 74, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026. He was born August 14, 1951, in Virginia to the late Everett Marion Berry and Bertie Tidwell Berry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Gibson Berry; son, Christopher Berry; brothers, Wilson Berry, Benoit Duncan, and Ray Duncan.

Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family and attending the activities and sporting events of his children and grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. He worked as an instrumentation technician with Miller Brewing Company for many years.

He is survived by his sons, Jeff Berry (Christy), Jason Berry (Lori); brother, Everett Berry (Julie);

grandchildren, Cayla Greenway (Joshua), Cassie Berry, Colbie Berry, Jaken Berry, Kylee Berry; and his significant other, Rebecca Stephens.

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Cemetery, 711 Church Street, Ridgeway, Virginia 24148 with Pastor A.C. Palmer officiating. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Loving Memory of Wayne M. Berry to St. Judes Children’s Hospital or Shriner’s Hospital.
