William Delathia Lowe II, 85, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026. He was born on March 5, 1941, in Franklin, Virginia to the late Marshall Thomas Lowe and Marion Carr Lowe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William Thomas Lowe, and grandson, Brandon Lowe.

William dedicated over 60 years of his life to working as a skilled auto mechanic. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and traveling, and he dearly loved his dog, “Bango,” who was a special companion in his life.

William is survived by his wife, Nancy Kay Nixon Lowe of 57 years; daughter, Marion Lowe White (Joe), Roger Marshall Lowe (Melissa), Michael Wayne Lowe (Kristin), Mitchell Thomas Lowe; sister, Kathaleen Garner; grandchildren, Leslie Lowe, Leaton White, Carrson White, Liam Lowe, Cameron Lowe, and Bentley Craig O’Connor.

Although services are private, the family wishes to express their profound gratitude for all of the love, prayers, and many good deeds sent their way during this time of grief.
