Roadside restaurant reopens

Tuggle’s Gap Restaurant has reopened at the historic roadside inn in northern Patrick County. The restaurant began serving breakfast on July 2 and is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Located on Route 8 near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Floyd County line, the nearly 90-year-old landmark also includes motel rooms and a convenience store. New owners Blue Ridge Escapes say they plan to preserve the property’s character and role serving travelers.
