Snowfall‘s Wanda and Leon take on the music business in the show’s spinoff, The Drop: A Snowfall Saga.
A trailer shows Wanda expressing her belief in the power of music to reshape American culture, much like it helped transform her life as she recovered from a crack addiction in the original series.
“You gotta understand what I been through. When I was getting clean, music brought me back to life,” says Wanda, played by Gail Bean.
Though she enters the business believing it’s “the new gold rush” with “no cops, no murder,” the trailer reveals that danger follows as she immerses herself in the music industry and navigates its ties to the streets.
Leon, played by Isaiah John, has vowed to leave that world behind as he hopes to “chase down his own atonement through his free legal clinic,” according to the show’s website.
The Drop: A Snowfall Saga, which also stars Asante Blackk, Peyton Alex Smith, Simmie “Buddy” Sims III and Brandon Mychal Smith, premieres Sept. 8 on FX and Hulu.

Enola Holmes is back, this time as a bride-to-be.
Netflix has released the official teaser trailer for the third installment in the film series about Sherlock Holmes’ brilliant younger sister.
Millie Bobby Brown is back as the titular detective in the movie, while Louis Partridge and Henry Cavill also return as Tewkesbury and Sherlock Holmes, respectively.
Joining them are Himesh Patel as John Watson, Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty.
This time around, Enola is headed abroad to take on a case in the island nation of Malta.
According to Netflix, “adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide in a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.”
The trailer teases just exactly what the treacherous case is. We first see Tewkesbury propose, as well as Enola’s direct-to-camera address reaction it: “Yes, I was surprised, too,” she says.
Afterward, Enola, while en route to the church wearing her white gown, is informed that her brother Sherlock has been kidnapped. She inadvertently leaves Tewkesbury at the alter by himself, seemingly missing her own wedding ceremony.
Philip Barantini directed Enola Holmes 3 from a script by Jack Thorne, which is based on The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer.
In addition to starring, Brown produces the film while her husband, Jake Bongiovi, executive produces.
Enola Holmes 3 will make its streaming debut on July 1.

Celebrity designer Bob Mackie, who created looks for stars including Cher, Diana Ross and Carol Burnett, has died at the age of 87, according to a statement posted Monday on his Instagram page.
“He lived his 87 years to the fullest, fulfilling his dream of being a Fashion and Costume Designer, which is all he ever wanted to do,” the statement said. “His genius and extraordinary designs will live on forever, continuing to bring beauty into this world.”
Mackie’s extensive and award-winning career spanned over 60 years. The California native started his career as a sketch artist for film costume designers before he became the costume designer for actress and singer Mitzi Gaynor’s Las Vegas Review shows in the 1960s.
He went on to design costumes for The Carol Burnett Show for 11 years, an experience he described as “fabulous” in an interview with GMA3 in November 2024.
At the time, Mackie was promoting his documentary, Bob Mackie: Naked Illusion, and he opened up about what it takes to thrive in costume design.
“When you’re a costume designer, you better understand what that person does,” Mackie said. “‘What, as a performer, what kind of timing do they have? How do they move if they’re a dancer?’ It’s all you have to think about that. You don’t just send them out in a sweet little dress and hope for the best. It doesn’t work that way.”
Mackie was celebrated widely for his work, earning nine Emmy Awards, three Oscar nominations and a coveted spot in the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 2002, during his lifetime. He also was recognized for his contributions to The Cher Show with a 2019 Tony Award.
His costumes also graced many theater stages, from Lorelei in 1974 with Carol Channing, to 1999’s Minnelli On Minnelli with Liza Minnelli. Mackie launched his ready-to-wear Mackie label in 1982 and even collaborated with Mattel to design stylish outfits for the toy company’s iconic Barbie dolls.
Mackie was known for his choice in bright colors, glamorous designs with intricate beadwork and feathers and most notably, his “nude illusion” dresses with mesh paneling that matched wearers’ skin tones.

It’s time to go back to Texas.
Dutton Ranch has been renewed for season 2 at Paramount+. This renewal comes ahead of the release of the first season’s final two episodes.
Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser return to their Yellowstone roles of Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler in the spinoff series. Also starring are Oscar nominees Ed Harris and Annette Bening.
The ensemble cast also includes Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca and Natalie Alyn Lind.
Dutton Ranch follows Beth and Rip, who “are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch,” according to a press release. “With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he’s supposed to be.”
As Beth and Rip fight to build their future far away from Yellowstone and all its ghosts, “they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul,” an official synopsis reads.
The spinoff garnered the biggest original series launch in the streaming service’s history, according to numbers from the company. It generated 12.9 million global streaming views in the seven days following its premiere.
Chad Feehan serves as showrunner on Dutton Ranch. Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan executive produces, as do stars Hauser and Reilly.
“Dutton Ranch has resonated with audiences in a powerful way, building on the legacy of beloved characters, while establishing its own identity,” Matt Thunell, president of Paramount Television Studios, said in a press release. “We look forward to bringing fans more stories from these unforgettable characters in season 2.”
