Two Henry County sheriff’s deputies have been fired after separate off-duty arrests involving alcohol-related offenses. Christopher Shaver was arrested July 23 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. Homer Jessee was arrested Saturday in Eden, North Carolina, and charged with driving while impaired and assault and battery. Both worked at the Adult Detention Center. Sheriff Wayne Davis said employees are not above the law and such conduct will not be tolerated.
