We are scrubbing in for another season of Scrubs.
Season 2 of the revival series kicks off Thursday night on ABC and ahead of the new season, some of the cast spoke with ABC News Digital about what fans can expect.
“I’m really excited for fans to see what we’ve got cooked up for them,” Faison told ABC News Digital. “I know they are, too. I know Zach (Braff) and Sarah (Chalke) are, too.”
In season 1 of the Scrubs revival, fans saw the return of J.D. (Braff) as the chief of medicine at Sacred Heart Hospital and reuniting with Turk (Faison), Elliot (Chalke) and other staffers.
Additionally, the season saw J.D., Turk and Elliot mentoring a new generation of residents like Tosh (Ava Bunn).
“It’s fun watching the young actors take on the roles. It’s fun sort of being the older mentor in both real life and in the story of the show,” Braff said.
He added, “The show used to be focused on the interns and now, it’s focused on the teachers.”
Chalke said, “We feel like we won the lottery with all those kids because they’re as nice human beings as they are talented.”
Bunn said it meant a lot to her and the new cast to see the loyal fan base of Scrubs embrace the new cast and the revival, adding that Braff, Faison and Chalke have been “welcoming and supportive.”
She also said that she is excited for fans to see all the new plot lines that are explored in season 2, especially how the residents at Sacred Heart are navigating their roles.
“It’s been really cool to watch the characters grow together,” Bunn said.
She added, “There’s so many fun things that pop up this season. I wish I could tell you all of them right now, but there’s just a lot of fun new things happening in the hospital that I’m excited for people to see.”
The revival for Scrubs aired in February after it was announced in 2024 that a continuation of the hit show was being developed by show creator Bill Lawrence for ABC and 20th Television.
Scrubs originally aired for nine seasons from 2001 to 2010 and followed the medical staff at Sacred Heart Hospital, including interns, doctors and other employees, from the point of view of Braff’s character.
The two-episode series premiere of the second season of the Scrubs revival airs Thursday on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. It will stream the next day on Hulu.

Swifties have been patient, and now The Life of a Showgirl continues on.
Taylor Swift has announced the upcoming release of her brand-new single, titled “Patient Zero.” The worldwide music superstar took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce the new song will be released Friday.
“I’ve been impatiently waiting to tell you that my brand new single ‘Patient Zero’ will be out on September 25 (!!!!!!!!!!!!) and it’s available to pre-order now on my website for 24 hours,” Swift captioned her Instagram announcement post.
A new photo of Swift also appears in the post. She stares directly toward the camera while leaning up against a blank, gray wall. She wears a black, sleeveless ensemble with a turtleneck. Her signature bangs are swept to the side and her eye makeup is smokey with a muted lip color.
Three CD versions of the upcoming single are available for purchase on Swift’s website: the original version, an acoustic version and a piano version. The original version’s cover is the same photo that Swift posted to Instagram. She’s also made it her new profile picture.
The acoustic and piano CD versions of the song have their own covers. Both of them feature brand-new photos of Swift posing while wearing black and gray clothing. In both of these additional covers, she stares off into the distance.
Swift had been teasing the surprise release for the last 24 hours. Eagle-eyed fans noticed while streaming her music on Spotify that certain lyrics from her most recent album, The Life of a Showgirl, featured the number zero taking the place of the letter O.
Additionally, one of Swift’s Eras Tour dancers, Kameron Saunders, took to Instagram on Tuesday to post an Easter egg for the Swifties. He shared a photo of himself from the “Opalite” music video, where he holds up a dancing competition judging paddle featuring the number zero on it.
Saunders’ caption reads, “And, baby, that’s sh0w business f0r y0u.”
Swift has changed her Instagram and X bios to be the exact same line, spelled with zeros instead of the letter O.
It is assumed that “Patient Zero” is a continuation of The Life of a Showgirl era. That album, Swift’s 12th, was released on Oct. 3, 2025. The CD listings on Swift’s website for the new track feature The Life of a Showgirl logo, as well as the signature glitter associated with the era.
Notably, the bright orange color associated with The Life of a Showgirl has been swapped out for a sparkly black hue for “Patient Zero.” This falls more in line with the imagery from Swift’s previous albums The Tortured Poets Department and reputation.

(NEW YORK) — Harvey Weinstein was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison for the sexual assault of Mimi Haley, a former production assistant, in 2006 in New York City.
“I am not a perfect person,” Weinstein told the judge before sentencing. “I live with many regrets, and sincerely apologize for my actions.”
Weinstein said he is “treated like an animal, or less” in custody, and said he will focus his final years on advocating for change within the prison system.
“You had it all. Your legacy could have been cemented with greatness,” Judge Curtis Farber said to the disgraced movie mogul. “But you threw it all away by assaulting Miriam Haley.”
Weinstein was convicted last year of assaulting Haley. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office asked for a 20-year sentence.
Haley told the judge Wednesday that she felt like she’s been on trial for the last seven years.
On Wednesday, DA Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. thanked Haley “and all of the survivors who came to lend their support.”
“I’m moved, as we should all be moved, by their courage and their steadfastness through what has obviously been a challenging process,” he said.
